The Tenants Information Service was established in 1989, by tenants to provide information, advice and training for tenants throughout Scotland and generally to support the efforts of the tenants' movement.

TIS is a national non-profit making support agency which is user controlled.

TIS has approximately 200 tenants organisations and landlords in its membership.
The TIS Executive Council is elected from the TIS membership.

The Executive Council comprises of 20 tenants whose role it is to control and run the work of the organisation.

The Executive Council is elected from the TIS membership on an annual basis. We owe a big thank you to members of the TIS EC during 2008/2009 who have given their time and commitment to the organisation.

Our headquarters are based in Glasgow and our staff are willing to travel throughout Scotland to support tenants. We have four Development Projects in East Lothian, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire and East Ayrshire, for further information about these click here.
